Keep up to date with the Middlesbrough based alternative band Afterglow. News on gigs, recordings, web site updates, etc. Afterglow fromed in January 2001 from the ashes of the garage/mod band Thee Strawberry Mynde and the indie band Bite. The band made their live debut in April 2001 at The Dickens Inn in Middlesbrough as part of the Z-Fest Tour. Taking their name from a Small Faces song Afterglow take their musical influences from a wide range of bands such as Love, The Prisoners, The Jam, The Smiths, Nick Drake, The Specials, Small Faces, The Clash, Dexys Midnight Runners and 60's garage/psych. |
