This email group has been formed by parents, for parents. Hopefully, it will help to bring together, from all over Japan, English speaking families of children with special needs. The idea is to be there for whenever we need each other, however different our situations and our paths may be. At present we are working on compiling a list of resources here in Japan on the "Tokyo with Kids" website, which is really for parents in all parts of Japan as well as those contemplating or planning a move here.
Postings to Special Kids Japan can be read by members only. Individual members have the choice of receiving postings as email (individual messages or a daily digest) or of reading them on the website. I would be grateful for members' input about the group's name, description, etc. and about resources that have been helpful. Once you join, just tell us a little bit about yourself, your family and your special child. |
