Design, implement and maintain Topica’s Online Marketing and Sales application including extending core infrastructure to support new features. Candidate will work with product manager, UI designers, and other developers in taking product requirements and producing high performance, easily scalable software.

Responsibilities:

•	Application programming in C (8+ years)
•	Application programming in Java (4+ years)
•	Writing and reviewing requirement and specification documents
•	SQL (Oracle preferred) (3+ years)
•	Deep knowledge of web technologies: HTTP, SMTP, XML, SOAP, Web Services
•	Extensive experience with object oriented design and design patterns
•	Extensive experience building high-volume, dynamic, database driven sites
•	Experience with Linux, BEA Tuxedo, Spring and Hibernate
•	Experience with Javascript, DHTML, CSS a plus
•	Experience with Apache, qmail a plus
•	BS in Computer Science or equivalent

The ideal candidate is driven and self-motivated, has experience designing and building web applications that support large volumes of data, and have ample knowledge and know-how to determine when to re-factor, and when to re-write legacy code.
